Afternoon Tea inside a Marshmallow, Yes a Marshmallow!

Unless you have lived in a Pinterest bubble for the past few years, you will know that I can only be referring to Sketch London. I have wanted to get inside this beautiful pink room ever since I caught a glimpse of it online. Last week I got to go there for afternoon tea...a lovely birthday treat from my friend Catherine, and I took lots of pictures to share with you...

The room itself is completely pink, from the ceiling, walls to the incredibly plush sofas and chairs.

Not to mention the rose gold bar!

The art is definitely an acquired taste

The tea itself is all served in very minimal crockery that looks like it's been drawn on with a sharpie. Delightfully simple, if not a little bit confusing...where are the ghosts?!

What's in those little ribboned parcels? They contain warm grilled croque monsieur truffle sandwiches. OMG they are amazing!!

So when the waiter asks if you would like extra sandwiches, the answer is YES! We opted for more of these and extra coronation chicken ones too, for good measure.

You may have guessed that the scones are my favourite part of afternoon tea. Although this pistachio chop was also up there, I could have passed on the passionfruit variety.

Other than the above, the other small cakes were nothing to write home about. But I took the advice of my teacup and forgot about it...

And off I went to re-apply my lipstick in THOSE well known bathrooms.

Obviously taking a few shameless selfies along the way.

On the way in we had spied an elegant looking forest themed room but unfortunately as it was 6pm on a Sunday they were closing and so we didn't get a chance to nip in for a drink. We did sneak a quick picture though, and for sure will be back to check it out.

Until next time Sketch.
