A History of London Photography Tour

You might have seen, if you follow me on  Instagram,  that I recently went on a Virgin Experience Day 'History of London Photography Tour'. I have wanted to up my photography game for a while and so my husband got this for me as one of my birthday presents. I thought I would share a few of my favourite shots from the day...

My main discovery of the day was that I seem to like taking pictures of the tops of buildings with a bit of pretty sky in...

So what did I think of the tour overall? I really enjoyed it...the guy who lead us around was nice and friendly and knew a lot about the areas he took us to. We got quite a lot of steps in that day, I think I clocked over 20,000 on my Apple Watch so it's not for anyone who has trouble getting about.

 It was good in that it took us down a few little side streets that weren't the typical tourist photograph hotspots. On the other hand, given the picture on the Virgin Experience website is Tower Bridge, I was quite disappointed to realise that we wouldn't be going to take some pictures there (it's my favourite of all London's landmarks). 

For me as well, I need to learn how to use my camera properly whereas this was more a tour than a lesson. Some of the others on the tour where kind enough to give me some pointers though. For now I'll keep at it with my Canon Powershot. I'm thinking of watching some youtube videos to get tips, but if you have any for me then I would love to hear them.
