Para-Para-Paradise

We never got around to visiting Paradise Beach last time we were in Mykonos, so it was on top of our to-do-list, this time around.

In case you were in any doubt as to whether this was the party beach of Mykonos, you are welcomed with what can only be described as some sort of Grey Goose/Moet graveyard ...

...and music pumping from the speakers at Tropicana.

If you want to be in the action this is definitely the spot to get your lounger. We ventured a little further down the beach to a quieter spot (I know, it's a sign of getting old right?!) but it was also the first place that had six loungers all together as it was after midday that we ventured down (note to self, arrive earlier next time)

We settled outside this little restaurant and in less than a few minutes we had been served a bucket of ice cold drinks, gin for me please.

It wasn't long before I was running to the water to cool down.

The water was so clear I could have stayed in there all day. But when hunger calls...

As the evening drew in we watched the yachts that started to arrive for the party.

We had reservations at a local greek restaurant (more on that to come) so left before things got too crazy.
